Sr. Mary of the Redemption, SOLT, hails from Lowell, Massachusetts where she met Fr. James Flanagan, founder of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (SOLT).
Sr. Mary of the Redemption was one of the first two Sisters to profess vows on November 21, 1960, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Holman, New Mexico.
Over the course of her professed life, she has served as director of novices, a professor at Avila College and Haile Selassie University, and as a nurse in New Mexico and in Ethiopia. She was instrumental in the foundation and administration of the SOLT Rebirth Drug Rehabilitation Center, Chombung, Thailand, where she served for 8 years. She also served two terms as General Sister Servant (1994-2000).
Currently she resides at our convent in Violet, Texas, where she lives a prayerful life of intercession and sacrifice. We are incredibly grateful for the gift of her life and vocation and her courageous “yes” to be a founding member of the SOLT Sisters. We wouldn’t be here without her!
