This edition of the SOLT Sisters’ Spotlight calls to mind Jesus’ words to be like “the head of a household who brings from his storeroom both the new and the old” (Matthew 13:52).
On July 16th, I had the great joy of receiving the first vows of our three novices. In addition to professing the evangelical counsels, they received a new name, a crucifix and a mission assignment.
In November, Sr. Mary of the Redemption will celebrate her 95th birthday and 62nd anniversary of profession. She has gone from being in our very first group of novices in 1959 to now being our oldest living member.
We are so grateful to God for all our Sisters, the new and the old, for the first and the last. I hope you enjoy getting to know them a little bit! Please pray for them and know of our prayers for you and your intentions.
