Seeing God’s Abundant Goodness

The goodness that God has implanted in each person’s heart cannot be defeated even by this Covid virus. Truly there is no one who is rich who doesn’t need something and there is no one who is poor that cannot give something. In our poor parish, we have a monthly community pantry where people are willing to give and share whatever they have with the people in need. Most of the time, an abundance of food comes. I was so touched by one of our parishioners, an 82-year-old grandma.  She walked from her mountainous place (a thirty-minute walk) to come to the church in the early morning carrying a heavy jackfruit.  She wanted to share it with the community pantry so we cut into pieces and gave to the people. People know that we are disciples of Christ when they see the love we have for one another.
