Please help us identify a team of young adults who may be called to serve as SOLT Missionary Volunteers at our missions in the United States, Mexico and Belize. These volunteers will minister to students and collaborate closely with dedicated Catholic educators and co-workers who are deeply committed to the Church’s mission.
The environment in which SOLT Missionary Volunteers serve is intentionally and authentically Catholic. Volunteers are invited to live and work within a faith-filled community shaped by prayer, sacramental life, and apostolic service. At the same time, they will encounter the ordinary challenges of missionary life: living in community, adapting to diverse cultural contexts, and embracing the responsibilities and demands of the teaching profession.
Essential qualities include leadership and collaboration, a vibrant and lived spirituality rooted in the Catholic faith, effective communication, cooperation, patience, perseverance, compassion, flexibility, and a genuine zeal for serving others.
In light of these expectations, we kindly ask you to provide any pertinent information that will assist us in discerning the applicant’s suitability for acceptance into the SOLT Missionary Volunteer Program. Your honest and thoughtful evaluation is invaluable to our discernment process.
As you complete the following questions, please consider the applicant’s social integration, personal maturity, leadership abilities, professional conduct, and commitment to living out the Catholic faith in daily life.
If you prefer, you are welcome to submit a formal letter of recommendation addressing these areas on behalf of the candidate. Recommendation letters may be sent to: [email protected].
Thank you for your time, prayerful consideration, and partnership in supporting the Church’s missionary mission.
