O Come Let Us Adore Him

What we did:

We started the morning with holy hour and mass which was such a great way to start the day! We then had breakfast and started our work projects. One crew went to help with Timmy’s house and another crew went to Tranquilino’s house to help. Both of these projects were so cool to be apart of and we will continue working on them throughout our time here. After the work project we came back to Chapel hill to eat and prep for Catechesis and Youth Night. We had adoration and confession on the roof of John Paul II School for all the youth and volunteers and it was truly beautiful.

Reflections:

I loved how this Monday went and just felt so blessed to be able to help Tranquilino and his family. Seeing people in such poverty that are still so joyful is truly eye opening. Meeting Tranquilino and his family was such a gift and I absolutely loved the experience. Adoration and Confession on the rooftop was gorgeous! We had a talk from Sr. Mary Elizabeth and a personal testimony from John that were both great and touched so many people. It was so beautiful and cool to see all the youth desiring confession and following through as well as being so reverent in adoration.
