On April 23, 2022, Abbot James Albers and the monks of St. Benedict’s Abbey presented the Lumen Vitae medal to the Founders of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity. Fr. James Flanagan and Fr. John McHugh received this post-humous award for sharing the love of Christ to those in deepest apostolic need. Fr. Peter Marsalek (General Priest Servant), Sr. Megan Mary Thibodeau (General Sister Servant) and Rosalie Buergler (General Lay Servant) and other members of the community were present to receive the award.

We are very grateful to receive this award and distinction on behalf of our founders, Fr. Jim and Fr. John. Both were good friends of the Abbey and Fr. John is a graduate from Benedictine College. Below is the video the Abbey created and shared during the awards banquet. Enjoy!
