When Belize went on lockdown due to the pandemic, public Masses and Eucharistic adoration came to a halt. The SOLT Sisters in Belize decided to have Eucharistic adoration each day for five hours, interceding on behalf of all parishioners of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish. The Sisters also helped in the parish distribution of food to the poor and unemployed. The program included a spiritual reflection, a food bundle and prayers with each individual. More than 500 families received assistance each week. 

As soon as the gathering restrictions were lifted, Sr. Maria of Merciful Love began intensive classes with her First Holy Communion students. The first group of students joyfully received Jesus on August 2nd.
